Why don't tactic puzzles carry over to my games?
In a puzzle you already know there is a tactic. In a game nobody tells you that. You must first notice that something might be possible, then calculate. Classic puzzle training skips the noticing step. WayChess trains it. More in puzzles vs games.
Do I need to know chess notation or own a physical board?
No. Training is in the browser on a 2D board. You mark pieces, squares, or arrows depending on the habit.
What is in the free plan?
Ten introductory positions for each habit, one daily set, and play versus a bot with habit-training mode. No card is required. See pricing.
How is this different from Chess.com or Lichess puzzles?
