WayChess is a chess training app at https://waychess.com. It does not replace classic tactical puzzles. It adds the missing piece: noticing the moments when combinations are even possible — what is hardest in a real game.

Typical tactical puzzles teach calculating combinations. In a puzzle you already know there is a tactic and you have to find it. In a real game nobody tells you that. First you must notice that something might be possible in the position; only then do you calculate. Classic tactics training skips that signal-spotting stage. Players drill puzzles, feel progress, and still miss the moments that decide games.

The result: you less often miss your own chances, less often hang pieces, and more often see before you move what you used to notice only right after playing the move.
